Mariluz Cook is a triple threat experienced in bringing sports and events to life. From the news studio to the sideline to the court, Cook is skilled in sports broadcasting, producing, and event hosting.

 

Currently, Cook serves as a 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend Host, Utah Jazz Host, Utah Grizzlies In-Arena Host and Digital Reporter, KSL 5 TV Sports Anchor and KSL Sports' Game Night Live Sideline Reporter. She formerly served as the Director of Broadcast and Digital Media for the Big Sky Conference, where she was the league's on-camera talent and producer. In her three years with the conference, she owned the production process of over 500 original video pieces and boosted organic video content by 92%.

The South Florida native is a proud Magna Cum Laude Communications Studies and Criminal Justice graduate from Florida Atlantic University. While a student, Cook served as the primary on-camera correspondent for the university’s athletics department and won the Owl TV Reporter of the Year Award for her coverage of FAU Athletics.

 

When she's not in front of the camera or somewhere on a sideline, Cook loves boxing, cycling, playing classical piano, and running. Since 2016, she has also held five titles in the Miss America Organization, including the longest reigning Miss Miami in history from August 2020 to March 2022. Currently, she is serving the state of Utah as Miss Utah USA 2023. Her years of service have been dedicated to opening up conversations about mental health in her community.
