Whether you're in Salt Lake City for NBA All-Star Weekend or newly inspired to visit the beautiful city, I've got you covered with some of the best spots for coffee, food, and the great outdoors in SLC!
The best part of this list? All of these spots are walking distance to Vivint Arena or less than a ten minute drive away!
This place has the yummiest coffee drinks and the kindest staff. Located in the heart of downtown and it's woman and veteran co-owned!
This French-inspired place could not be cuter! Great pastries, great coffee, great breakfast.
As someone who grew up ten minutes from the ocean, I was a bit weary of sushi in Utah, but Takashi proved me very, very wrong. It's incredible. They don't take reservations, so plan to walk around downtown while you wait (it's worth it).
Another great spot for dinner and drinks right downtown! The truffle grilled cheese, fries, and tomato soup cannot be beat.
Lake Effect is a beautiful cocktail bar with fantastic food. The tin can nachos have the potential to change your life. At night, you'll find live music on the first floor and a DJ in the basement!
A great and aesthetic place to grab a morning cup! Located in the Gateway District of downtown, it's just a brief walk from Vivint Arena.
This is another great spot for great coffee and a great breakfast or lunch. Their almond milk lattes remain undefeated, and they're known for their pastries - be sure to snag one!
Located steps from Vivint Arena, this is a great place for a great Mexican lunch or dinner! Best chicken quesadilla.
Nestled in the heart of the 9&9th neighborhood, it's worth the 10 minute trip. I could eat at this place every single day. GET THE CHOP SALAD AND FRIES.
Get your hiking fix at Ensign Peak! The trailhead is a 5-10 minute drive from downtown and the peak boasts stunning views of Salt Lake Valley.
It's worth the five minute drive from downtown! The Horchata Latte is unbelievable and every cup comes with chocolate espresso beans on top. YUM.
This cozy spot was made for snowy days. It's a short drive from downtown, and right by Whole Foods AND Trader Joe's. Beautiful.
New to SLC, this is a great spot for dinner and drinks. The atmosphere is beautiful. I highly recommend the chopped salad and French onion soup!
Great spot for cocktails and fries (do you notice a theme here?!) walking distance or a short drive from downtown depending on where you're staying. The staff is super friendly and knowledgable!
The Sugarhouse neighborhood is located about ten minutes from downtown SLC and well worth the short trip. Sugarhouse Park is my favorite for a scenic walk or run, as it loops 1.38 miles and includes small hills.
